Welcome to Desmet Studio's Amsterdam, the Netherlands.                                          
Desmet Studio’s is a small multi room audio en video facility in the centre of Amsterdam.  For foreign customers we specialize in remote video playout by satellite and remote voice-over recording via ISDN or FTP-transfer.
We are the only 24/7 feedpoint in Amsterdam.

Remote Voice Over Recording

We offer several options to record Dutch voice-over talent and transfer it to your location at any point on this globe.

1. Live recording via ISDN (APT and Musicam)

2. Record in Amsterdam while you direct via telephone and transfer via FTP or CD

3. We produce TOD( tape on desk)

Location
Advantageously situated in the historic centre of Amsterdam between the famous Artis Zoo and the illustrious Hortus Botanic Garden you will find Desmet Studio’s. The 125 years old Desmet Theatre now houses the most well equipped AV studio’s in Amsterdam where Paul Weijenberg and his staff guarantee a creative en professional execution of every possible audio or video production.  

Live radio en video broadcasting, audio postproduction, web casting and events. Desmet Studio’s can cater for each discipline with the necessary technique and know-how on site. 

It is a 10 minutes walk from the centre of Amsterdam such as the Rembrandt Square or the Red Light District. You can reach Desmet easily by cab or bike or by means of public transportation. When you use the sub way just take any line to or from the Central Station and get out at the stop Waterloo Square exit Hortus. There is also sufficient parking space if you decide to visit us by car.

TV Studio-1
TV studio 1 is our largest room and is the former major cinema room. It is nowadays used as a recording venue for talk shows with audience and live music. We offer:

·      TV and show lighting system

·      Complete rock solid sound insulation

·      Powerful PA system

·      Air conditioning
 

TV-1 is equipped with a all digital controlroom for JVC remote and handheld camera's, a Broadcast Pix vision mixer, Digibeta recorders and a Inscriber titler.

 

 

TV Studio-2.
TV studio 2 is a small news studio with 2 camera’s. This studio is available 24 hours a day especially for foreign correspondents to do their live cross talks. By means of  fibre optics Desmet Studio’s is permanent connected with the satellite uplink centre of NOB in Hilversum, the so called MCR (Master Control Room).

In this studio the tape play out formats are:

·      Betacam SX

·      DVcam

·      VHS

 

FCP 1&2.
On-line video edit sets with Final Cut Pro editing facilities.

 

Audio 1 / 4

These are live radio studio’s mainly used by the Dutch Public Broadcasters. All public programs originated from Amsterdam are broadcasted is this studio’s. Approximately some 50 hours of live radio each week. Also here is a special radio cross talk studio for foreign correspondents. By means of ISDN codecs of all major brands Desmet can connect to virtually every radio network on the globe.

 

 

Audio 5
Audio 5 is a post production studio for TV commercials and TV documentaries. This studio syncs to every tape format for sound relaying. Also voice-overs for Dutch programmes that are broadcasted from UK are recorded here such as, Discovery Channel and Cartoon Network
